Writing, itself, is a blissful exercise. Self-publishing, marketing, and advertising…not so much.
I’ve created ads on Amazon.
I’ve created ads on Facebook.
I have a project plan for other potential advertising and marketing tasks.
I have cups and pens that I ordered with my business cards. They’re cool, but I’ll need to meet and greet and probably speak wherever I give them away. I don’t really want to do any of that, because I’m an introvert, but I will.
I’ll do it all because part of the joy of writing is the possibility of finding people who will enjoy what I wrote. Not everyone will, and that’s okay, but finding those like-minded folks that can read what I wrote and feel what I felt as I wrote it would be amazing.
If I find no one who appreciates what I’ve written, that’s going to be okay, too, because I won’t stop writing. Writing is bliss.
